3D Modelling
Modelling electrical systems and cable layouts using 3D programs such as SolidWorx ensures that equipment access and support brackets are optimized, and that
the capacity of the cable support systems are adequate for the application and future needs.
Logitech Engineering use a combination of 3D modelling and cable management software to provide detailed scopes of work and to ensure accurate cable lengths.
Packaged Substations
Modular Packaged Substations (MPS) save considerable time and cost compared to on-site fabrication. Fully tested Motor Control Centers (MCCs),
and Control and Distribution Centers (CDCs) can be fabricated quickly and fully factory tested before delivery to site.
Pre-tested air conditioning and lighting systems inside the substation ensures that sensitive electronic equipment stays clean and dry
during the construction phase.
Raceway and Supports
Pre-installed cable raceway sections and drop-boxes attached to the substation support frame also save time on site, and ensure cable
routes and bending radius issues are dealt with before cables are pulled.
Pre-tested air conditioning and lighting systems inside the substation ensures that sensitive electronic equipment stays clean and dry during the construction phase.
Factory Testing
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) ensures that the substation is fully operational before delivery to site. Comprehensive cable and equipment test records (ITRs) are supplied with each module, and can include HV and LV switchboard function testing. Comprehensive PLC I/O testing can also be performed if required, and in some cases wired to a logic test panel to verify safety interlocks and trip functions. This is particularly useful for Burner Management System (BMS) which rely on a sequence of steps to achieve energisation, including testing of the cause-and-effect matrix.
Underground Services
An important part of every electrical distribution system is the underground services. Buried cables and underground service trenches must be carefully planned to account for the final civil layout of the site. Conduit stub-ups must come up at the exact location and finished surface level (RL). Logitech Engineering can plan all trench layouts, intermediate cable pits, and all buried equipotential earthing grids.
